About
About Eric Waldrep
I spent 27 years in law enforcement, including more than 10 years with the Foley Police Department in Alabama, where I served as a sergeant and directed the department's digital forensics and cybercrime investigations. I have worked in digital forensics since 2007.
Today I run The Waldrep Company. Teaching investigators comes first, through online and live courses. I also examine digital evidence and testify as an expert witness for attorneys.
For 15 years I have trained police cybercrime units overseas through the U.S. State Department's Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) program, where I serve as a Cyber Mentor. That work shaped how I teach: plain methods that hold up in court, whatever tools your agency can afford.
I also make videos about building a life abroad as an American: what it really costs, and how to avoid the scams that target newcomers.
