Eric Waldrep spent 27 years in law enforcement, including more than 10 years with the Foley Police Department in Alabama, where he served as a sergeant and directed the department's digital forensics and cybercrime investigations. He has worked in digital forensics since 2007. Today he runs The Waldrep Company, which trains investigators through online and live courses and examines digital evidence for attorneys. For 15 years he has trained police cybercrime units overseas through the U.S. State Department's Antiterrorism Assistance (ATA) program, where he serves as a Cyber Mentor. He is a Magnet Certified Forensics Examiner (MCFE) and a certified UAS/Drone forensics examiner. He writes the Digital Forensics Today newsletter and is the author of six books, including The Fundamentals of Digital Forensics and Mastering OSINT and Dark Web Investigations. He also makes videos about building a life abroad.
